Lemon Lavender Dressing is bright and citrusy with sweet, floral notes. Try this on salads, or use it as a marinade for meat or fish.
One of my favorite parts of summer is spending weekends on Cape Cod (or, as we say, “down the Cape”). I’ve been visiting the Cape with my family for as long as I can remember, since all of my grandparents had homes there. My childhood summers are a blur of days at the beach and nights playing mini golf and eating ice cream. There was, and still is, truly no better way to spend a summer.
Until last year, I had no idea about the existence of an adorable lavender farm on the Cape–in Harwich, to be exact, just a few towns over from my grandmother’s home. Last year, during a particularly windy two day mini-vacation with my sisters and cousin, we were desperate to find non-beach things to do. We made a list of attractions that we could visit in the nearby towns, and ended up at Cape Cod Lavender Farm. The entrance to the farm took us down a windy driveway through the woods where we finally reached an adorable cottage, surrounded by lavender. It was magical. We oohed and ahhed as we made our way through the tiny cottage store, marveling at each of their carefully crafted products. There’s something so relaxing about a store dedicated to lavender products, surrounded by nature. I focused on the edible goods, and selected a lavender and lemon marmalade to take with me. Not wanting to leave, we meandered through the lavender fields for a while before heading back to the car.
Once I got home, I found that the Lavender/Lemon Marmalade had more uses than I could have imagined. Sure, I put it on crackers and biscuits, and paired it with goat cheese. I soon realized it would make a perfect vinaigrette, and tried different variations until I finally got it right. It tasted especially delicious on the Kale and Artichoke Pasta Salad. Since summer is here, and the farm is open, I thought it would be perfect time to share this light and bright dressing on the blog.
If you can’t make it to the Cape, you can still buy the dressing (and other goodies) on the farm’s website through the link above. Also, it should be noted that this is not a paid advertisement for the Cape Cod Lavender Farm; I just genuinely enjoyed my experience there, and I want to share it with all of you!

So I’m seriously OBSESSED with how wonderful this lemon lavender marmalade is!! I’ve never been a huge fan of culinary lavender…until now. It’s basically perfection in a jar. Thanks for sharing!
It’s such a wonderful flavor combo! I’m going back to the farm next week. I can’t wait to get some more (since I used all mine up making dressing). Hope you are all well!
